Five days ago, NaNoWriMo 2019 came to an end. I set out with the aim of writing 50,000 words of a novel in thirty days, and… I did it!
50,375, to be exact.
I’m now taking some time to recover, but – and here’s the crucial thing – I’m still writing every day. Just not quite so much! The novel isn’t finished. I’m only two thirds in!
My aim now is to finish the first draft of this still nameless novel, then to return to the one I got 42,000 words written for last year – put on hold mid-rewrite so I could write this one.
Let the celebrations begin – and then, back to the writing!
